Tidekeeper Maren Selk
| Title | First Tidekeeper of the Concord |
| Location | Tidewall (Concord Hall), The Hollowed Reach |
| Faction | The Concord of Tides |
| Status | Alive |
Description. A sharp-featured woman in her early sixties with silver hair, sun-bronzed skin, and calculating grey eyes. She dresses in the Reach’s blue-and-white formal attire with an excess of jewelry (wealth displayed is wealth proved). Selk is pragmatic to a fault, she knows the Black Tides are dangerous, but she also knows panic is worse for trade. She is corrupt (all Tidekeepers are) but not evil. She’s genuinely afraid and hiding it behind competence.
GM Notes
Campaign Role. Bureaucratic obstacle and potential ally in Act I. If convinced the threat is existential, she can mobilize the Reach’s resources, slowly, grudgingly, but meaningfully.
Roleplay Notes. Speaks in measured, transactional terms. Every conversation is a negotiation. Fidgets with her rings when nervous, the only tell she has. Respects people who bring solutions, not problems.
