Revenant Yael
| Title | Leader of the Remnants’ Court |
| Location | Ashenmere, The Pale Wastes |
| Faction | The Remnants’ Court |
| Status | Undead (Remnant, intelligent, retains full personality) |
Description. A woman who died at thirty and has been undead for fifteen years. Her appearance is preserved but pale, grey-blue skin, frost-white hair, eyes that glow faintly with blue-white light. She wears the Ashen Vigil armor she died in. Yael is fierce, articulate, and deeply empathetic, ironic for someone technically dead. She advocates for the Remnants’ rights and believes that death didn’t end her personhood. She wants to prove the Remnants can be allies, not threats.
GM Notes
Campaign Role. Morally complex ally in Act IV. Working with Yael means accepting that the line between life and death is blurry, and not everyone will be comfortable with that.
Roleplay Notes. Speaks with careful warmth, she knows her appearance unsettles people and compensates with gentleness. Occasionally pauses mid-sentence as if remembering what breathing felt like. Fiercely protective of the Remnants under her care. Humor is dry, self-aware (“I’ve been dead for fifteen years. I can wait.”).
