Ivara Mistwalker
Spore-Seer | Sporeheim | Peak Clans (Bloomveil) | The Verdant Marches
Appearance
Fifties, wiry, with the dilated pupils and slight bioluminescent shimmer on her skin that mark long-term Bloom Peak spore exposure. Her hair is white-blonde, worn wild. Since her vision, her hands tremble constantly.
Personality
Before the vision, Ivara was sharp-witted and sardonic. Now she is haunted, urgent, and impatient with anyone who doesn’t take her warning seriously. She has the clarity of someone who has seen something terrible and can’t unsee it.
What She Wants
- A messenger. Someone to carry her testimony to the Star-Readers in Ashveil, across the Scarwall.
- Validation. She believes her terrestrial vision combined with the Star-Readers’ celestial observations will identify the true nature of the threat.
Connections
- Sporeheim, her home among the Bloom Peaks
- The Star-Readers, the scholars she needs to reach
- Peak Clans, her people
GM Only
Ivara’s vision is genuine. She saw Serith’s influence from the root-network perspective: the world drowning in shadow rising from the roots, not falling from the sky. Every living thing going dark, going still.
Combined with Star-Reader astronomical data, her testimony could identify Serith’s prison as the source of the corruption. The journey to carry her message across the Scarwall is a natural quest hook that bridges the Marches and Dominion storylines.
Design note: Ivara works as a quest-giver who creates urgency. Her trauma is real, her warning is accurate, and the mission she proposes is dangerous but essential.
